Fzerolab aims to bridge the gap between academia, industry, and traditional craftsmanship, with particular emphasis on crafts relevant to the Malaysian context. The team is interested in underappreciated or dying crafts and hopes to reinvent them into contemporary processes. The research project is divided into four phases: background research and documentation, design research, design prototype, and project implementation, followed by marketing and overall documentation.
